Send the monitor back by post

Once the recording period is complete, usingthe prepaid, self-addressed return package, simply pop the monitor in the post box.

Recorded post is not required, so thereโ€™s no need to queue at the post office.The data is then analysed and reviewed by our team and sent back to the requesting GP or consultant.

Why we created Home Heart Monitoring?

The service was created by an understanding doctor who was often asked to carry out cardiac monitoring but found that in today's economic climate, patients could not afford the tests or were administratively blocked from accessing them due to long waiting lists.

When this doctor was introduced to state-of-the-art technology that overcame pandemic lockdowns, he realized that post-lockdown, the same tests could be performed for a fraction of the price and in a much simpler way.

How does the heart monitor work?

The monitor consists of a small wearable sensor that sticks onto the skin near your heart. It records your heart rhythm continuously for the entire monitoring period. The data is then analyzed using advanced algorithms to detect any irregular heart rhythms.

Is the monitor comfortable to wear?

Our monitor is lightweight and uses hypoallergenic pads designed for comfort. Most people find it easy to wear the monitor 24/7, even during exercise and sleep.

What kind of heart rhythm irregularities can the monitor detect?

The monitor is effective at detecting common irregularities like paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (PAF), premature atrial contractions (PACs), premature ventricular contractions (PVCs), pauses, ventricular tachycardia (VT), and supraventricular tachycardias (SVT) as well as a vast number of less common cardiac arrhythmias or abnormal rhythms.

Do I need a prescription to order the monitor?

You do not need a full medical prescription to order our heart monitor. However, we do require a referral letter from your doctor or consultant requesting mobile cardiac monitoring. This letter simply needs to say they recommend you receive the monitoring and does not need to include any diagnosis details or other personal health information. Having the referral letter allows us to ensure the monitor is medically appropriate for your situation.

How long will it take to receive my monitor after ordering?

Your monitor will ship within 1-3 business days after placing the order. If you are in London and a home or office visit is required, this can be arranged within 48 hours.

How do I attach and remove the monitor pads?

Attaching the monitor takes just a few minutes. Our video tutorial shows you exactly how to apply the adhesive pads to your skin. To remove, gently peel off the pad. Alternatively, a home visit can be arranged, and this can be done for you.

Can I shower or exercise while wearing the monitor?

Yes, the monitor is water-resistant and designed to stay on through activities like showering and exercise.

Will my test results be kept confidential if a disease is found?

Yes, your test results and personal information will be kept confidential in accordance with regulations on data protection and patient privacy.

How long will it take to receive my results after returning the monitor?

Results are sent to the requesting physician within 3-5 business days after we receive your monitor.

How are my heart rhythm results analyzed?

Cardiac technicians analyze the data using stringent protocols and advanced algorithms together with AI to detect any rhythm irregularities and their significance. This is then reviewed by a cardiac physiologist and finally reviewed by the requesting physician.

Does my insurance cover the cost of the monitor?

Unfortunately, insurance plans currently do not cover the cost of this service. However, our price of ยฃ400 is significantly cheaper than going through insurance and having in-clinic monitoring which can cost ยฃ1000 or more. So while insurance will not reimburse you for our monitor, you will be paying much less out of pocket by using our service whilst keeping insurance premiums low with fewer claims.

What if I have skin irritation from the monitor pads?

To avoid this, the pads use hypoallergenic adhesive.

What should I do if the monitor falls off before the period ends?

Contact us if the monitor falls off early and we'll send a replacement monitor so you can complete the monitoring period.

Can the monitor get damaged or wet?

The monitor is water-resistant and designed to withstand normal daily activities and moisture, like showering and swimming, although it is advisable to avoid diving into deep water with it.
